Kelsey Timothy Whitby

Grey Matter

Team Grey Matter is returning in 2018 to continue raising funds for medical expenses of Kelsey Whitby.  Kelsey is engaged in an ongoing campaign to be one of the faces of living large with glioblastoma multiforma. With ongoing treatment, laughter, spirit and support, she continues to inspire others to live large and be reminded that no one is a statistic even with brain cancer.

Fire on Water is an elite women’s team from Kelowna BC. This is our 12th year of competitive racing. The women of Fire on Water always encourage each other to excel, build self-esteem, and drive each other to our full potential. As a team, our success on the water is dynamic and synergistic – as individuals we are leaders, athletes and friends. We incorporate all levels of experience from new paddlers this year to experienced paddlers who have been paddling for more than 17 years.   Ranging in age from 20-65 we like to train hard, hang bling around our necks, and don’t mind a “Tail-gate Thursday” once 'n a while! We support a favorite charity at Christmas time each year and supply groceries, gift certificates and presents for the children to ensure less fortunate families can enjoy and celebrate the season together.

Paddles up!!
